New Everton manager Ronald Koeman has been linked with a move for Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman.
Koeman completed his protracted move from Southampton to Goodison Park earlier this week and it is understood he has been handed a £100million war chest, plus the proceeds from any summer player sales, to bolster his squad.
Midfield is believed to be an area the Dutchman is keen to strengthen and a report claims he has identified compatriot Strootman as a target for Koeman.
The 26-year-old joined Roma in a 17million euros (approx £13.5m) in 2013 but he has struggled with injury during his time in Italy and has been restricted to just 36 Serie A appearances over the course of the last three seasons.
However, Strootman did manage six outings for Roma last season after making a return from injury in February.
Everton have been tipped to launch a £30million raid for the Netherlands international, who has previously been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.
