Everton are ready to offer around £25million for Swansea star Gylfi Sigurdsson.
New director of football, Steve Walsh, who was confirmed in his new role at Goodison on Thursday after leaving champions Leicester, has reportedly targeted the Iceland star.
The 26-year-old was part of his country’s shock run to the quarter-finals of Euro 2016 and had enjoyed a fine campaign for the Swans last term, scoring 11 goals in 36 appearances from midfield.
The former Spurs man has proved to be an established Premier League performer at the Liberty Stadium and Everton are hoping an offer of around £25million will be enough to secure his services.
The Swans do not want to lose one of their key players but may be tempted by by a significant offer while Sigurdsson may also be keen to work with new Everton boss Ronald Koeman at Goodison Park.
