Everton are reportedly set to pounce for goalkeeper Joe Hart after he was dropped for Manchester City’s first game of the season.
New boss Pep Guardiola is understood to be keen on raiding his former club Barcelona for Marc-Andre ter Stegen or Claudio Bravo.
Reports in Spain claim that a deal for the latter is almost complete as Guardiola looks for a “footballing” goalkeeper capable of playing out from the back.
Willy Caballero was handed the chance to start in Saturday’s victory over Sunderland and Hart’s 10-year stay with City looks like it might be over.
Everton are hoping they can take advantage of the situation but will only be able to get the deal done if City can bring in one of their targets.
Ronald Koeman has already added Maarten Stekelenberg to his squad this summer but is on the lookout for a new first-choice shot-stopper, with Hart having been linked with a switch to Merseyside earlier in the year.
