New Everton boss Ronald Koeman is being linked with a £16m move for Porto striker Vincent Aboubakar.
The Cameroon international, who has scored 13 goals in 45 games at international level and netted 16 for his club last season, is also wanted by champions Leicester City.
His representatives have met with Everton and he would apparently prefer to link up with Koeman, who has money to spend after arriving at the club.
The 24-year-old is a powerful forward much in the mould of Romelu Lukaku and his signing could pave the way for the Belgian to move on.
Everton are keen to keep Lukaku, who was watched by Juventus on Saturday, but will be looking for more cover up front whether he stays or goes.
