Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho is still being closely tracked by Everton, according to reports in Portugal.
The Toffees tried to sign Carvalho when Roberto Martinez was in charge in January but their offer fell way short of Sporting’s valuation.
However, according to Record, under new ownership and management, Everton are ready to renew their interest by stumping up an £18m bid for the holding midfielder.
New manager Ronald Koeman is a fan of Carvalho and kept a close eye on his performances for Portugal during their successful Euro 2016 campaign.
But Sporting are set to play hard ball over any negotiations and will demand Everton increase their offer towards the region of £30m.
