Everton are keeping an eye on Club Brugge defender Bjorn Engels with a view to making a summer swoop, according to reports in Belgium.
The defender graduated from the club’s youth system in 2011 and has emerged as one Belgium’s brightest prospects.
Everton appear to have cottoned on to the 21-year-old’s potential since he returned from a knee injury in December and are weighing up whether to make a bid for him this summer.
According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Everton may decide to scout Engels for another year before making a bid for him in 2017.
Engels was selected for Belgium’s senior squad for their recent friendly against Portugal and still harbours an outside chance of making the Euro 2016 squad.
