Everton are confident of completing a deal for Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour, according to reports in Spain.
The Toffees are in the hunt for new centre-backs this summer after selling John Stones to Manchester City for £47.5m.
The club have already snapped up Ashley Williams from Swansea, but Ronald Koeman wants one more defensive addition before the transfer window closes.
And, according to Deporte Valenciano, Everton are hopeful that a deal for Abdennour, who only moved to the Mestalla last summer from Monaco, can be wrapped up this week.
Valencia are reportedly in need of some cash as they struggle to meet with FFP regulations and Everton’s interest in Abdennour solves their problem.
The Spanish club are expecting to bank £15m by selling the Tunisian, who is keen on a move to the Premier League.
