Everton will assess several potential summer signings on Thursday night when they scout Anderlecht’s clash with Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Toffees will be one of 11 Premier League clubs represented at the Europa League last-16 match in Brussels as Anderlecht attempt to overturn a 3-1 first-leg deficit.
Everton have been linked with three players likely to be involved in the match over the past six months – Anderlecht midfielders Dennis Praet and Youri Tielemans, and Shakhtar winger Bernard.
Praet, 21, has been out of form for most of the season but still remains a popular target for English and Spanish clubs with Sevilla believed to be keen on a summer swoop.
Tielemans, 18, did not start the first leg in Ukraine and his place in the Anderlecht line-up looks in doubt after his form dropped away badly following the winter break.
Bernard, 23, started the first leg on the bench but came on at half-time and set up Shakhtar’s third goal – ensuring he is likely to start at the Constant Vanden Stock stadium on Thursday.
The Brazilian will have two years left on his contract at the end of the season and could be an alternative option to Andriy Yarmolenko, who boss Roberto Martinez saw in action for Dynamo Kiev at Manchester City on Wednesday night.
