Everton boss Ronald Koeman is closing in on a move for Swansea star Gylfi Sigurdsson and is being linked with £25m move.
The 26-year-old was part of his Iceland’s shock run to the quarter-finals of Euro 2016 and had enjoyed a fine campaign for the Swans last term, scoring 11 goals in 36 appearances from midfield.
The former Spurs man has proved to be an established Premier League performer at the Liberty Stadium and Everton are hoping an offer of around £25million will be enough to secure his services.
The Swans do not want to lose one of their key players but may be tempted by by a significant offer, while Sigurdsson may also be keen to work with the new Everton boss at Goodison Park and he could become director of football Steve Walsh’s first signing at the club.
