Everton have reportedly submitted a £20million bid for Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony but they face competition.
City boss Pep Guardiola has deemed Bony surplus to requirements and the Etihad Stadium outfit are actively seeking a new club for the Ivorian forward before the transfer window closes.
Everton are keen to boost their attacking options to ease the pressure on Romelu Lukaku and L’Equipe say they have made a bid for the 27-year-old.
However, the French publication believes that Everton face competition from West Ham, who are understood to be keen to take the forward on loan with a view to a permanent switch.
City would prefer an outright sale but they may allow Bony to make the final decision on his future this summer.
