Everton are in pole position to land Sheffield United youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin after agreeing to pay £1million for the teenager.
The 19-year-old spent the majority of last season on loan with League Two side Northampton, scoring 10 times as he helped them win promotion to the third tier of English football.
Calvert-Lewin returned to Bramall Lane before the campaign finished, making nine appearances for the Blades, and had been set to be part of the Yorkshire outfit’s first-team squad for the new season.
However, despite signing a new long-term contract last year, Everton are reportedly set to snap up the forward after agreeing to pay £1million up front for Calvert-Lewin.
Everton have been busy adding youngsters to the squad this summer and have already landed Coventry City striker Bassala Sambou and Oldham Athletic goalkeeper Chris Renshaw.
