Arsenal target Jonny Evans is reportedly set to be handed a new contract at West Brom which will see him pick up £75,000-a-week.
The 28-year-old Northern Ireland international joined the Baggies from Manchester United 12 months ago and was an influential member of their backline last term after making 30 Premier League appearances.
Evans, who also helped his country qualify for Euro 2016, was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window but stayed put, and now the club are seemingly keen to ensure he is not enticed away in the future.
If he commits his long-term future to the Hawthorns it will be a welcome lift for the club and Pulis amid recent rumours the manager was considering his future following a disappointing summer of transfer dealings.
Whether Arsenal will make another move in January remains to be seen but it looks unlikely following the capture of Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia.
