Dier and fellow Spurs stars Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose pick up boarding cards tomorrow for England’s flight to France – and hope to land in football’s hall of fame when they return.
The young stars believe they can be England’s future, as they get ready for England’s Euro 2016 opener against Russia next Saturday.
Dier said: “It’s all a bit crazy isn’t it? But it’s great and I think it’s thoroughly deserved for the season all five of us had at Tottenham.
Every single one of us deserves it.
“It’s great to be playing with them for England. We enjoy it. It’s just the same here with England.”
Dier has taken an unusual route into the England set-up – born in Cheltenham, he grew up in Portugal and came through the ranks at Sporting Lisbon before joining Tottenham two years ago.
Having found a way to the top, he plans to stay there.
