Jurgen Klopp expects Jordan Henderson to be ‘in a good way’ for England for Euro 2016.
The Liverpool midfielder is currently out with a knee injury, sustained in the Europa League draw in Dortmund last month.
The initial reaction from the Merseysiders’ medical team suggested the 25-year-old faced eight weeks on the sidelines. While Klopp does not know whether Henderson will play for Liverpool again this season, he has some good news for Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson.
He said: “Hendo is in a good way for England [for Euro 2016]. I’m not sure how good a way it is for Liverpool.
“He’s not been on the pitch until now. We will have to see day by day how that improvement.”
The German had more good news for Reds fans, as he revealed Emre Can will return from injury earlier than expected and he should be in the squad for the semi-final second leg clash with Villarreal on Thursday.
