Arsenal, Manchester United and Juventus target Edinson Cavani has reportedly been offered the chance to extend his stay at Paris Saint-Germain.
The Uruguayan looked certain to leave the Parc des Princes this summer with a host of heavyweight clubs in Europe chasing his signature.
However, according to RMC, PSG have put their faith in Cavani to step up and be their main striker next season following Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s departure, subsequently offering him a one-year extension.
Cavani, whose current deal in Paris expires in 2018, is considering the proposition but may still decide to leave, with lucrative contract offers reportedly on the table from Juve, United and China.
The 29-year-old had grown frustrated by playing second fiddle to Ibrahimovic for a second straight season but still managed to find the net 23 times last term.
His form convinced the likes of United, Arsenal and Juve that he can still be a force at the top level, but now PSG have now cast doubt over a potential transfer by offering him fresh terms.
