Crystal Palace have been boosted by the news midfielder Jason Puncheon is in contention to face Reading in the FA Cup.
Puncheon has been missing for the last four weeks with a hamstring injury but boss Alan Pardew says he has managed to maintain his fitness and could figure against the Royals.
Pardew is unlikely to throw Puncheon straight back into the starting line up for Friday night’s clash, but the fact he is available is a big boost to the Eagles boss.
“He hasn’t missed a lot of football,” Pardew told the Advertiser. “He has done a lot of work on the training ground, because the type of injury he had kept his fitness pretty good.
“I think he will be in contention for Friday.”
