Crystal Palace have recalled Sullay Kaikai from his loan spell at Shrewsbury and he could figure for the Eagles this weekend.
Kaikai has played a big part in the Shrews securing their Sky Bet League One status, scoring 12 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions, but he will miss their final game of the season at Swindon on Sunday and could instead be in the Palace squad for their home match against Stoke.
Shrewsbury manager Micky Mellon praised the 20-year-old’s contribution during his time at Greenhous Meadow.
“We have to say a big thank you to Crystal Palace because he has played a big part in our League One survival,” Mellon told the club’s official website.
“I’m pleased that he will now return to Palace and may get the opportunity to be involved in their last few Premier League games.
“His goals have been invaluable but he’s also a great kid and was great to have in and around the place.
“We will now look forward to seeing his progress in the future because he is a lad of great promise.”
