Arsenal target Julian Draxler has revealed he will stay with German side Wolfsburg for the remainder of the season.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been linked with the German international for some time and it looked as though a deal could have been on the cards in the summer.
Draxler asked to leave the Bundesliga side after he impressed at Euro 2016 and the Gunners were hoping to bring him to the Emirates Stadium, only for Wolfsburg to block the deal.
Reports have suggested that Wenger could make a fresh approach when the January transfer window re-opens, but Draxler has now committed his immediate future to the club.
“We had disagreements,” said Draxler. “But from September 1, it was clear that we could only go in one direction. Now it no longer matters.
“There will probably be speculation again in January, but I won’t be the one to start them. My head is fully focused. I play towards the summer, trying to help the club.”
