Arsenal are reported to be closing in on Henrikh Mkhitaryan after Borussia Dortmund admitted defeat with their bid to keep him.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been a busy man when wrapping up the signing of Granit Xhaka, while Leicester striker Jamie Vardy could also be heading to the Emirates Stadium.
Wenger will not stop there and reports claim that a move for Mkhitaryan could happen after Dortmund opened the door for the midfielder to move on this summer.
The 27-year-old still has one year to run on his current deal but there is no sign of him penning a new one and Dortmund do not want him to leave on a free transfer.
Dortmund are now ready to cash in, but are well aware that Chelsea are also interested in the Armenia international and are hoping a bidding war will push the price up.
Leicester midfielder Riyad Mahrez also remains a target for Wenger, but the Frenchman is checking out other targets just in case he cannot push through a deal for the Foxes star.
