DONE DEAL! Swansea City sign defender Mike van der Hoorn from Ajax for an undisclosed fee

Swansea have signed defender Mike van der Hoorn from Ajax for an undisclosed fee.

The Dutch centre-back has penned a three-year contract with the Premier League side following a successful medical.

The 23-year-old is the second signing made by the Swans in as many days, after Leroy Fer sealed a permanent switch from QPR on Tuesday.

Van der Hoorn came through the youth set-up at FC Utrecht and made his professional debut in 2011 before going on to become a key part of their side.

He was signed by Ajax for €3.8 million in 2013 and made 43 appearances, scoring three goals, in his three-year spell at the Amsterdam club.

He is a former Netherlands Under-21 international but has yet to earn a senior cap.
