Chelsea are adamant they will not be selling Diego Costa back to his former club Atletico Madrid this summer.
The LaLiga club have been heavily linked with a £48million offer for the Spanish forward, who suffered a tough 2015-16 campaign at Stamford Bridge following a number of disciplinary run-ins with the FA.
It has been suggested that Costa is keen on a return to his former club and a reunion with Atleti manager Diego Simeone.
However, according to Marca, even a £48m bid is unlikely to tempt Chelsea into selling, with Costa thought to be at the forefront of new manager Antonio Conte’s plans.
Atleti have apparently made contact with Chelsea with an opening offer but the Stamford Bridge club haven’t bothered to return with an answer as they are adamant he player will remain in west London.
