Chelsea striker Diego Costa took his goal tally for Spain to three on Monday, at home to Liechtenstein.
The 27-year-old opened the scoring in the World Cup qualifier at the Estadio Reino de Leon with a well-taken header – his first international goal since October 2014 (against Luxembourg).
Like London buses, another one soon followed in the second half, making it Spain’s fifth of the evening, with a drilled finish inside the box.
It was his 12th appearance for La Roja and it took him less than ten minutes to find the back of the net.
The former Atletico Madrid striker started the season well for Antonio Conte’s men in the Premier League, netting two in three matches. He scored 16 goals in total for the west Londoners last season.
