Mohamed Diame says Hull City will head to Derby on Tuesday full of confidence after their promotion-boosting 4-0 win over Bristol City.
The Tigers are fourth in the table, four points behind second-placed Middlesbrough, with eight games left to play.
Diame was delighted with the performance and result against the Robins and says the manner of the win means they will enter the remaining games with a belief that they can still land one of the two automatic promotion places.
“We played very well against Bristol City and we were worthy of scoring four goals,” he said on the club’s website.
“Results elsewhere have gone in our favour and we are that little bit closer to the top two which is where we want to be at the end of the season.
“March was tough for us and we should have got more points than we did but we feel like this was a big win for us and exactly what we needed at the right time.
“We now look ahead to the Derby game on Tuesday night and we know it is a massive game for both football clubs. ItÂ’s about trying to recover as quickly as we can and getting back out there on Tuesday.
“A win there and then a win away at Huddersfield next Saturday would be a great response and set us up really well for the final games.”
With Diame’s confident words in mind, punters might want to use their free bet to back Hull to get a win over Derby and maintain their promotion push.
