Dimitri Payet has been recalled by France for their Euro 2016 warm-up matches against Russia and Netherlands at the end of the month.
Payet has been joined by Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante in Didier Deschamps’ squad, but Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has missed out.
Despite previously suggesting that the 28-year-old was not that close to a return, Deschamps has been unable to ignore the West Ham star’s stunning form.
The former Marseille star has scored eight goals and provided seven assists in the Premier League with the Hammers making a concerted challenge for European qualification.
His last cap for France came in June last year when he scored as a second-half substitute in a 4-3 defeat to Belgium in Paris.
