Manchester United forward Memphis Depay has admitted he’s frustrated at his lack of action so far this season.
Under new manager Jose Mourinho, the 22-year-old has failed to start a Premier League game this season and he’s now seemingly behind Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard in the pecking order at Old Trafford.
The Netherlands international, who joined from PSV Eindhoven in June last year, has made just three appearances from the bench in the Premier League so far and he says he needs more game-time.
“I am the same person and I know what I want. A supporting role is not for me,” he told Dutch newspaper Metro Nieuws.
“I’m not a player who is happy with the fact that he is under contract with Manchester United. This is my dream club, but I want to play.
“The training sessions are going well, I’m sharp and fit, but that applies to everyone. The level has become higher.”
