Everton are closing in on a deal to bring Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann to the club although the Eagles don’t want to sell.
Dann was said to be on the radar of the Toffees last summer but Palace managed to rebuff all interest in the player and secured him on an improved deal.
However, Everton have maintained an interest in the 29-year-old and reports suggest they will make a fresh bid once Ronald Koeman has finally been installed as their new manager.
The Dutchman is set to take charge at Goodison Park after guiding Southampton to fifth in the Premier League last season, and Dann is said to be high on his list of targets.
Dann’s arrival would undoubtedly lead to suggestions that John Stones could be on his way out in a mega-money deal.
