Hull City are hoping to welcome back defender Michael Dawson when they take on Stoke City at the KCOM Stadium this weekend.
The Tigers are in need of a boost after they were hammered 6-1 by Bournemouth at the weekend, while defender Andy Robertson has also been ruled out for two months with a calf problem.
Boss Mike Phelan could now decide to recall the influential Dawson, who has been on the sidelines since picking up a serious knee injury in pre-season.
Dawson came through 90 minutes for the Development side on Friday night in their 4-0 win over Leeds United and could be in line to face the Potters in what is being billed as a must-win clash.
Dawson’s experience has never been needed more and it looks as though Phelan is ready to throw him back in.
