DAVID WOODS COLUMN: With all the money in the Premier League, fans deserve more

At Norwich last season, after they lost an amazing match 5-4 to Liverpool, supporters went away grumbling. Maybe later on they realised they’d seen a classic, but I doubt it.

Let’s face it, football doesn’t look like it is going to change and become more romantic, with so much money washing through the game.

Much is expected this season of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, a coach who is seen as the man who demands his teams to play ‘The Beautiful Game’. He may well have us swooning, week-in, week-out.

The more pragmatic Jose Mourinho has also talked about bringing back a glorious, free-flowing game back to Manchester United.

We shall see.
