Arsenal and Everton look set to battle it out for the services of Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann before the transfer window closes.
The 29-year-old has been a revelation since arriving at Palace and has been the subject of interest from other clubs, who are keen to lure him away.
Palace have just made Dann captain, replacing Mile Jedinak for the forthcoming season, but it remains to be seen if he will still be at Selhurst Park come the big kick off.
Arsenal are in the hunt for a new central defender after losing Per Mertesacker for the next three months through injury and reports claim that a move for Dann is in the pipeline.
Everton are long-term admirers of Dann and have failed with offers in the past as Palace have refused to sell.
However the Toffees are back in the hunt after failing with a bid for Swansea defender Ashley Williams and could test Palace’s resolve once again.
