Crystal Palace are expected to complete a move for Gillingham midfielder Bradley Dack after the Kent side missed out on the play-offs.
Gillingham’s 2-1 defeat against Millwall on Sunday ended their chances of winning promotion to the Championship via the League One play-offs, and they now look set to lose Dack as well.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has been a revelation for the Gills this season when firing home 15 goals, and Palace are among the clubs known to be keen on him.
Dack still has two years remaining on his contract but Gillingham boss Justin Edinburgh has admitted he will struggle to keep hold of his star players.
“We havenÂ’t been able to get to where we hoped,” he said. “It was a dream and we really believed we could fulfil it, but when you donÂ’t we will reflect and it looks like we will lose one or two.
“I hope those will be the only two and the ones that we want to keep will stay.”
