Palace manager Frank de Boer has been looking for a new goalkeeper throughout the summer transfer window and it appears his attentions have been turned towards Vorm, who is being tipped to leave Tottenham.
Spurs completed the signing of 25-year-old shot-stopper Paulo Gazzaniga on Wednesday and he is expected to take the number two spot in the squad, pushing the current reserve keeper down the pecking order.
Belgium international Vorm is expected to leave before the August 31 deadline and a switch to Selhurst Park could be an option following reports of rumoured interest from the Eagles.
Palace, who allowed Steve Mandanda to leave this summer, are hoping to snap up the former Swansea City star in a cut-price deal with a bid of around £4million expected to be enough.
De Boer has struggled in the transfer marker since taking charge, having only been able to sign Jairo Riedewald, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Timothy Fosu-Mensah.
