Crystal Palace are closing in on the signing of Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.
The 31-year-old has been with the French club for eight years but he is ready to leave now in search of a new challenge.
Everton had been linked with the France international, while Chelsea were also considering him as a back-up for Thibaut Courtois.
However, according to L’Equipe, Mandanda is now on the verge of joining Crystal Palace after they made an approach for him.
The goalkeeper’s contract with Marseille expires at the end of June and he will then be free to join another club.
And it looks as though Mandanda will be heading to Selhurst Park after getting assurances that he would be first choice there.
