Crystal Palace are ready to reignite their interest in Genoa midfielder Tomas Rincon during the January transfer window.
The Eagles tried to sign the 28-year-old this summer but they were £2.5m short of reaching the Venezuelan’s valuation.
That led a potential deal to collapse and it had been thought that Palace would move onto other targets this January.
However, according to Calcio Mercato, the Premier League club are ready to return for Rincon when the transfer window reopens.
Palace manager Alan Pardew is a big fan of the former Hamburg man and believes he would suit English football.
Genoa are still holding out for £8.5m – the same price tag they set in the summer – and will not settle for less.
