Crystal Palace secured their Premier League status after a second-half turnaround saw them beat Stoke City 2-1.
It was the proverbial game of two halves but luckily for the home fans the Eagles’ half bore more fruit.
The visitors took the lead through Charlie Adam on 26 minutes after Gianelli Imbula combined well with Marco Arnautovic, who fed Adam with the through ball and the Scot produced a composed finish.
The second half saw a different Eagles side fly out of the traps and they levelled only two minutes after the break through Dwight Gayle.
Yannick Bolasie did well to beat a couple of Stoke defenders but looked liked he was tripped when inside the box, with the ball falling to Gayle and he managed to finish.
Gayle then scored his second on 68 minutes to put the hosts into the lead after he curled a great free-kick from just outside the box over the wall and past Jakob Haugaard.
The game then went back and forth, with both sides having good chances to add to the scoreline.
Connor Wickham headed against the post while Peter Crouch also nodded wide from close range inside the last 10 minutes.
