Philippe Coutinho, Emre Can and Divock Origi are all doubtful for Liverpool’s lunchtime trip to Spurs on Saturday.
Coutinho has a minor hamstring strain and sat out Tuesday’s 5-0 EFL Cup win at Burton with boss Jurgen Klopp saying a decision over whether the Brazilian will be included in his squad for the trip to White Hart Lane will be made on Friday.
Can, meanwhile, suffered a knee injury at Burton and, even though it is not thought to be serious, he is unlikely to be risked against Spurs. Origi pulled up with cramp on Tuesday and will also be assessed ahead of the game.
Elsewhere, midfielder Lucas Leiva is back in training but the clash is set to come too soon for him, while Sheyi Ojo (back) and Loris Karius (hand) are both still out.
Klopp could hand summer signing Joel Matip his first Premier League start after he impressed against Burton, while James Milner is expected to start at left-back again ahead of Albero Moreno.
Sadio Mane returned to action on Tuesday after he sat out last weekend’s defeat at Burnley with a shoulder problem and he should start against Spurs, while Daniel Sturridge will hope to be deployed as the central striker after making it clear this week he does not enjoy being asked to play out wide.
