Chelsea boss Antonio Conte believes his side will face a tough test when they take on Swansea at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday.
The Italian only took over the reins at Stamford Bridge during the summer but he has made a perfect start to life in west London, as he has won all four of his matches at the helm, including Premier League triumphs over West Ham, Watford and Burnley.
The Blues will return after the international break with a trip to south Wales and Conte is anticipating a difficult fixture against the Swans, who took four points off Chelsea last season which included a 1-0 win at the Liberty Stadium in April.
Conte said: “After the international break it’s always very tough to restart because many players don’t arrive back until the end of the week, but we must quickly find our concentration and be focused because we know we play a tough game against Swansea and we want to prepare in the best way.”
David Luiz could make his first appearance for Chelsea since re-joining the club from Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day while fellow new signing Marcos Alonso could also make his debut against the Swans.
Conte believes the two defenders will have an important role to play for Chelsea throughout the season as he bids to improve a defence that conceded 53 Premier League goals in the last campaign.
“We reached our targets, David Luiz and Marcos Alonso are two good signings for us,” Conte added. “Now we have to work with them because I think they can improve our squad.”
Chelsea have not won four successive top-flight matches since April 2015 but punters may choose to use their free bet to back the team to end that run with a victory against the Swans.
