Eden Hazard is looking forward to a “fresh start” under new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
Hazard enjoyed a stellar campaign in the 2014-15 season but struggled for form, as did the majority of the Chelsea side, for large parts of last season.
The Belgian international is convinced he can get back to his best under ex-Italy and Juventus manager Conte this term however, ahead of their Premier League opener at home to West Ham on Monday.
“It’s a new season, a fresh start, a new manager and a couple of new players,” he told the club’s official website.
“We have all been working together for a few weeks now and the new manager has a new philosophy and he wants to play a different style. That’s always good, and now we will see how it goes.”
On the clash with the Hammers, Hazard added: “I like to play against West Ham because it’s important for the fans as well, it’s always like this when we play against another London team. We will see how the first game of the season goes, but I hope we can be much better than last season.”
