Burnley are set to snub any summer bid from West Brom for defender Ben Mee, according to reports.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis is believed to a big admirer of the 26-year-old, who picked up the Players’ Player of the Year award at Turf Moor as the Clarets won the Championship title and sealed an immediate return to the Premier League.
Mee started the season at left-back but his move to link up with Michael Keane at the centre of their defence paid dividends as Burnley remained unbeaten following a Boxing Day defeat at Hull City until the end of the campaign.
Keane is being chased by Premier League champions Leicester with Burnley already rejecting a £12million bid, while there is a possibility that a new improved, offer could be accepted.
As a result, Clarets boss Sean Dyche will not want to lose Mee too and will no doubt do all he can to keep hold of the former Manchester City trainee by trying to tie him down to a new deal beyond his current one which expires next summer.
