Though debutants Rostov went in front through Christian Noboa’s free-kick, four-time winners Ajax are back on level terms in the tie courtesy of Davy Klaassen’s penalty.

Dinamo Zagreb 1-1 Salzburg
Valentino Lazaro put Salzburg ahead just before the hour but Marko Rog’s spot kick ensured this tie is even going into next week’s second leg.

København 1-0 APOEL
Andrija Pavlović rounded APOEL goalkeeper Boy Waterman moments before the break to give the Danish outfit the edge ahead of the return instalment in Cyprus.
