Manchester United’s EFL Cup date with Manchester City on October 26 has caused a brutal fixture headache for Jose Mourinho.
The Old Trafford boss will certainly be on the lookout for revenge after his old adversary Pep Guardiola got the better of him in the Premier League earlier this month.
United, however, will still have it all to do, with four games in just a nine-day period later next month.
The Red Devils travel to face Liverpool on October 17, before hosting Turkish side Fenerbahce in the Europa League just three days later.
Mourinho then visits his old club Chelsea for another league clash on October 23.
City, have a ‘lesser schedule’ although it does include a trip to face Barcelona in the Champions League on October 19.
United midfielder Ander Herrera insists they will still be ready to try and dump holders City out of the competition.
The Spanish midfielder said: “I think it’s good for us (drawing City). We can show again what we want to do.
“I said two weeks ago we were very disappointed because (the last derby) was in front of our own fans against the city opponents and now we have another chance to play against them. I’m sure it will be different.”
