Swansea are reported to be weighing up a move for Manchester City defender Jason Denayer as they look to replace Ashley Williams.
Williams jumped ship to Everton last week in a deal worth £12million and Swans boss Francesco Guidolin is now keen to get a replacement on board sooner rather than later.
Iceland star Ragnar Sigurdsson has been linked with a move to the Liberty Stadium, where he could link up with his namesake Gylfi, but reports claim Denayer is the club’s number one target.
The Belgium international has struggled for first-team football at the Etihad Stadium, and has spent time on loan at Celtic in the past in order to get games.
Denayer has slipped even further down the pecking order at the Etihad after City signed John Stones, while Vincent Kompany, Nicolas Otamendi and Eliaquim Mangala are also ahead of him.
The defender would jump at the chance to link up with Swansea and a deal looks to be on the cards if Guidolin follows up his reported interest by making a firm bid.
