Cheltenham Town manager Gary Johnson has only 14 fit senior players for his side’s EFL Cup first-round tie with League One Charlton Athletic.

Club captain Aaron Downes (ACL), Jack Munns (knee), James Dayton (ankle) and Asa Hall (groin) are out along with suspended midfielder Kyle Storer.

Charlton are looking for a response to Saturday’s 2-0 defeat by Bury.

Addicks striker Lee Novak is likely to retain his place, again playing with a cast to protect his broken hand.

This will be Charlton’s first visit to Whaddon Road, in what will be the club’s first-ever meeting with Cheltenham.
