Chelsea are prepared to fork out £31m for Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan, claim reports in Italy.
New Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has made the Belgian international one of his top targets this summer, having watched him closely this year.
Reports earlier in the week suggested Chelsea and Roma had already agreed a fee of around £26m for Nainggolan, but the Italian club are now demanding more for the 27-year-old.
And, according to Sky Sport Italia, Chelsea are willing to meet Roma’s new valuation by adding another £5m to their original offer.
That is likely to be enough to tempt Roma into selling their star man as it would allow the Italians to find an adequate replacement in midfield, plus a striker to succeed club legend Francesco Totti, who is expected to leave at the end of the season.
