Chelsea goalkeeper Marco Amelia has revealed he is in talks with the club about extending his stay at Stamford Bridge.
The veteran Italian joined Chelsea in October on a short-term deal to provide cover for the injured Thibaut Courtois.
Despite not making an appearance for the first team, Amelia became a popular member of the Chelsea dressing room and has apparently settled to life in London.
Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants the 34-year-old to stay and work with the club’s academy goalkeepers and the pair are set to hold talks when he takes over in July.
“I am talking with the club to continue here,” Amelia told Radio Deejay.
“I am happy with the experience in [England].”
