As deadline day nears, will Chelsea finally get a new defender?
The Blues have been linked with a number of players to bolster their backline, to push the likes of John Terry, Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanovic for a starting berth.
Antonio Conte’s side have made a 100% start to the new Premier League campaign, with wins over West Ham, Burnley and Watford.
The Italian boss has so far brought in N’Golo Kante, Michy Batshuayi and Portuguese goalkeeper Eduardo.
Mohamed Salah, Papy Djilobodji and Marko Marin are three senior players who have failed to make the grade at Stamford Bridge, leaving for Roma, Sunderland and Olympiakos respectively, whilst a number of youngsters have also left the club on loan.
Some players could be set to arrive, paving the way for others to leave.
