Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly says he may start negotiations with Chelsea manager Antonio Conte over a possible summer move.
Chelsea are set to be busy in the transfer market and their new boss has already drawn up a long list of players he wants brought to Stamford Bridge.
Everton’s John Stones, Roma’s Kostas Manolas and Leonardo Bonucci of Juventus have all been linked but Koulibaly is looking the more likely option at the moment.
The Senegal international, who made 33 Serie A appearances this season, still has three years left on his contract but with no sign of an extension being offered, he admits an exit could happen.
“I have not talked to him but that may change soon,” Koulibaly told L’Equipe. “If nothing happens at Napoli, I will start to have contact with other clubs.
“The game in England could be suitable for me but I like Italy. IÂ’m not pressing for a transfer but I hope to sign a renewal with Napoli or we [will] proceed to other solutions.”
