Arsenal are reported to be planning a move for Chelsea starlet Dominic Solanke, who has yet to pen a new deal at Stamford Bridge.
The 18-year-old striker is one of many Chelsea youngsters to be sent out on loan, and he has caught the eye with his performances for Dutch side Vitesse, where he has scored seven goals in 24 appearances.
Such form has prompted Chelsea to step up negotiations over a new deal, but so far they have had little success and that could open the door for the Gunners to swoop in.
Solanke is out of contract in just over 12 months and reports claim he is demanding a deal worth in the region of £50,000 a week, something Chelsea are unwilling to match at this stage.
The Gunners are also likely to snub such figures but hope the opportunity to play a more prominent role in their first team, could convince Solanke to jump ship.
