Chelsea legend Frank Lampard: What I think of Antonio Conte

Lampard is currently plying his trade in the MLS with New York City but keeps a watchful eye over his former club.

Chelsea finished 10th last season as their title defence crumbled in spectacular fashion and Jose Mourinho suffered the axe.

Conte was appointed his successor and Lampard has heard enough good things from Andrea Pirlo, one of the 47-year-old’s former player from both Juventus and Italy, to predict Chelsea will claim a top-two finish.

“Being at Chelsea for such a long time I have an allegiance so I would obviously like Chelsea to win the league and I think they’ll be back challenging,” he said.
