The 23-year-old only arrived at Stamford Bridge during the summer, but is yet to start a game in the Premier League.
It has been reported that Batshuayi was not a signing new manager Antonio Conte had asked for and as such he has struggled to hold down a regular place in the team.
Now Le 10 Sport has suggested that his former club Marseille may offer him the chance of more regular first-team football with a loan move in the new year.
Batshuayi scored 26 league goals in 62 appearances for the Ligue 1 club, who banked £33.2m for selling him in July.
And it has been suggested that Marseille will move quickly should they get the signal that the Belgian is available on a temporary basis.
