Juventus are ready to firm up their interest in Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic, claim reports in Italy.
The Serbian is being eyeb by Jose Mourinho at Manchester United but the Portuguese is currently pursuing Paul Pogba.
Juve are unlikely to sanction any deal which could see them lose out on Matic to the Old Trafford club as well as sell them Pogba.
Chelsea are keen to keep hold of the 27-year-old to see how he fares during Antonio Conte’s first season in charge but it is understood the player is eager to move after enduring a difficult 2015/16 season.
According to Sportitalia, the Serie A champions are now lining up an offer for Matic and will find out whether they can go ahead with the deal when Conte officially takes over at Stamford Bridge on Monday.
Matic’s contract in west London doesn’t expire until 2019 and Chelsea would demand a fee at least £18m for the holding midfielder.
